Austin, TX — April 5, 2025 — Twelvenets is proud to announce that Ruben Cantu, Director and Board Member of Twelvenets, was crowned Prom King at the 2025 Con Mi MADRE Corazón Awards, a prestigious celebration recognizing individuals and organizations committed to advancing empowerment and education within the Latinx community.

Held on April 4th, the Corazón Awards honored those who have made remarkable contributions to uplifting young Latinas and their mothers through advocacy, mentorship, and opportunity creation. Originally launched as a brunch, the event has grown into a powerful annual fundraiser for Con Mi MADRE’s life-changing programming.

“This is more than just a crown,” said Cantu. “It’s about showing up for the next generation of young girls and their mothers, helping them reach college and beyond. I never went to my own prom, so being here, being recognized, and giving back. It means everything.”

Ruben Cantu, a longtime advocate for equity in education and economic access, was nominated for Prom King not only for his community impact but also for his fundraising efforts. The campaign emphasized participation over donation size, encouraging widespread support for Con Mi MADRE’s mission.
