Austin, TX — April 12, 2025 — Last Friday night, Cuba512 marked its 10th anniversary with a celebration that transformed the South Austin favorite into a vibrant hub of Cuban rhythm, culture, and conversation. The event, planned and executed by Twelvenets, brought together longtime patrons, newcomers, and cultural tastemakers for an evening that honored a decade of culinary legacy while setting the tone for the future.
Founded in 2015 by Tuky Ibarra, Cuba512 has grown into a staple of Austin’s dining and cultural landscape, known for its authentic Cuban fare and warm hospitality. “This celebration was for every person who ever walked through our doors and felt at home,” said Ibarra. “Ten years ago, we had a dream to bring the heart of Havana to Austin. Today, we’re still living it.”

The anniversary evening opened with free salsa lessons that quickly gave way to a packed dance floor, energized by live performances from the Latin Dukes, whose blend of salsa, rumba, and flamenco pop kept the crowd moving late into the night. Guests sipped handcrafted Cuban cocktails, sampled classic dishes, and indulged in premium cigars, while surprise giveaways added an extra touch of festivity.
At the heart of the evening was the return of Purple Jam, a cultural conversation series hosted by Twelvenets. Originally launched at Cuba512, Purple Jam made a triumphant comeback with a panel exploring how music shapes identity and community. The session featured artists, innovators, and thought leaders in a discussion that struck a chord with the crowd.

“Purple Jam was never just a panel, it was a movement,” said Emmanuel Nyame, CEO of Twelvenets. “Bringing it back for Cuba512’s anniversary felt right. It reminded us how creativity, culture, and connection come alive when people gather with purpose.”
A champagne toast and cake-cutting ceremony followed the panel, rounding out a night of shared memories, dancing, and a renewed sense of community. More than just a restaurant milestone, the event stood as a celebration of cultural resilience, entrepreneurial spirit, and the role of intentional storytelling in shaping public life.
With Twelvenets orchestrating every element, from creative direction to media coordination, the event was a testament to the power of integrated communications in bringing people together.
Cuba512’s 10-year celebration not only honored the past but reaffirmed a commitment to bold flavors, bold music, and the vibrant Austin community that made it all possible.
