Purple Jam is a live community experience created to support psychological wellbeing through music, conversation, and shared human connection. What began as a campaign evolved into a multi city event series designed to help people slow down, connect meaningfully, and feel a sense of belonging in relaxed, welcoming spaces.

Purple Jam brings people together through thoughtfully curated experiences that blend culture, creativity, and conversation.

Challenge

Many social and professional environments lack space for genuine connection and emotional wellbeing. People often feel isolated, overstimulated, or disconnected, even when surrounded by others. The challenge was to design experiences that:

  • Support psychological wellbeing in a natural and accessible way
  • Encourage real connection without pressure or formality
  • Use music and culture as tools for shared experience
  • Work across different cities and audiences while staying authentic

Strategy and Approach

Purple Jam was built as a flexible experience with wellbeing at its core:

  • Designed multiple event formats to support different types of connection, including Dine O Rama, Afterwork Mixer, Leaders Roundtable, and Live Music experiences
  • Curated artists, speakers, and creators whose work encourages reflection, joy, and shared presence
  • Combined music, food, conversation, and storytelling to create environments that feel safe, human, and engaging
  • Executed events across cities while maintaining a consistent experience and values
  • Used organic storytelling and community led promotion to grow awareness and participation

Impact

  • Reached 600 plus participants across all Purple Jam experiences
  • Hosted events in three cities, including Austin, Houston, and New York
  • Featured 35 plus speakers, artists, and creators by the end of 2025
  • Welcomed artists including Grammy Award winning Black Ouyaba, Latin Dukes, and other emerging talents

Purple Jam continues to expand through new formats, cities, and collaborations while staying grounded in its original purpose.
